Imagine living during the Gold Rush years of the 19th Century. It must have been an amazing time.

The thing is we're kinda' living the modern day Gold Rush on the Internet right at this very moment...

There was another way to make money that worked in the age of the forty niners and still works today. You see, getting information about where the next mother lode was to be found was Hot News. Clever entreprenuers would set up newspapers near to mining towns because the information contained within their newspaper could be worth a lot of money. The price of the newspapers shot through the roof!

Newspapers were so scarce that they sold for $10 dollars or more. Audiences of upward of 50 people would pay a dollar each or more just to hear someone read them out!

Thinking about our modern day Gold Rush…
