Think And Grow Rich Was Written By A Girl!
Think And Grow Rich Was Written By A Girl!
You may be surprised to read that headline but it is a fact.
A fact that I will explain in a minute...
You see, many, many successful people give credit to Think And Grow Rich as the motivator to overcoming 'the barrier' against success.
You have to be swayed by public opinion when so many people give a 70 year old book such a glowing report.
And so I read it.
And like most people I tried hopelessly to discover the secret hidden within the book.
I sat there counting words to see if they had been mentioned 100 times or more.
I bought an original 1937 copy just to make sure that I was reading the exact words of Napoleon Hill and not an edited 1980's copy.
I eventually discovered my interpretation of the secret embedded within the book and would recommend you read it again if you didn't pick up on it the first time.
But, one day I was talking to my Father-In-Law about the book and about Napoleon Hill.
My Father-In-Law said this to me...
"Was this guy... Napoleon Hill... successful?"
I paused for a second and said...
"errrmmm, I guess so"
I didn't really know, heck I knew he'd sold a lot of books and everybody goes on about how good Think And Grow Rich is but I'd not asked myself that simple question.
Napoleon Hill did write an auto-biography, but for some reason it has never been published.
I started to do a little research.
I found that a biography was written by Michael J. Ritt jr. and Kirk Landers (Michael J. Ritt jr. worked with Napoleon Hill for ten years towards the latter end of Hill's working life).
"A Lifetime Of Riches" is it's name and let me tell you...
...you must read this book!
It is an amazing look into the life of a man who inspired millions of people.
And it shares some of the most interesting, controversial and sometimes incredibly personal parts of Napoleon Hill's life.
Which is why the title of this email states that Think And Grow Rich Was Written By A Girl, because according to the biography, Napoleon Hill's wife at the time (Rosa Lee) wrote the manuscript for the book.
In fact she wrote THREE manuscripts for the book.
Hill had this to say about her enthusiasm...
"...By the time she had finished the manuscript on the third rewrite...the tips of her fingers were so worn and blistered she had to tape them so she could work..."
How much of an influence Rosa Lee had on the content of the book we may never know, (she certainly influenced the chapter on sex transmutation!) but if you want to make your own opinion I urge you to read this biography if you haven't already.
It will give you a broader understanding of what success is all about and why you won't find it reading Think And Grow Rich one time only.
I'm still fascinated by Hill, and I'm still doing research.
If you know of any unusual bits of information about him or any online resources about him then please let me know.
Thanks.
Speaking of success it is the last few days that you will be able to get into the GuruDAQ membership at a reduced rate...
